Lavar and James did a great job! This morning I found my laundry room flooding with no idea of the cause. The guys showed up and quickly diagnosed that my water heater was the problem. They went to pick up a new one, installed it, took away the old one all within just a few hours. I was very pleased with the professionalism and quick response time.

We had three different companies out. The first made a dubious diagnosis (that they never emailed to me even after requesting it 4 times) and tried to hard sell a new unit at a very high price. The other did a light inspection with a flashlight and has been slow to send me estimates. Mission had exceptional communication, very thorough and evidence-backed diagnostic, good prices, and no sales-pushing. I felt like they were the perfect combination of customer-focused, detail-oriented, and clear honest pricing. They will be the company I go to and refer for the foreseeable future. Sucks to have your HVAC go out, but if it does then you want guys like Austin Smith and Michael Loya from Mission P H&C helping you out.

One of our AC units at a rental property stopped working, and a technician (Luke Taylor) was out the next day. Honestly, it was the technician Terrell who really was the hero of this check-in. I had been quoted by LBA of needing a brand new AC unit quoted at $7k! The same company had just installed a brand new furnace system this past October. It was the fan blower that was not blowing, which caused the AC pipe to collect frost when I was gone for a few days out of town. LBA tried to tell me that water damage made the control board and the fan not work. I called Mission Plumbing and Heating for a second opinion. They came within 24 hours of the appointment request and immediately told me there was no water damage indicated anywhere at all in my unit. They actually found the control board had been miswired and that’s why the fan wasn’t kicking on. Literally cost me a $49 service call fee. Plus, I signed up with their annual maintenance program because I trusted them so much. What a great experience and otherwise daunting time staring down another $8000 purchase in less than six months!

[2019] We called Mission PHC for an estimate on a heater/AC combo package, since our heater was probably about 30 years old and our AC was completely broken and an underrated size for our house. Craig came out exactly on schedule and looked at our situation in depth. Craig listened to our initial complaint that air was not getting through all the vents. He looked at our ductwork and showed us how inefficient the 20+ year old ductwork was. For not much more, Craig was able to get us set up with brand new ductwork. Mission PHC was able to quote a larger AC unit for thousands less than the competitors. He wasn’t trying to sell a “package” or do any upselling, and just told us what he thought we needed for our situation. Craig helped me get situated with financing, and the installation crew came out shortly after that. The crew, like Craig, came out right on schedule and was super nice and extremely professional. I was prepared for a day of stress, but Steve and Ray worked efficiently all day and there were literally zero problems. We got an explanation on how to use the new thermostat, and then they of course tested the heater and AC before they left. The best part was the dollar amount we paid was the exact dollar amount Craig quoted when he did the estimate. The area in which they worked was clean and there were no pieces of old junk or scrap laying around in the yard after they left. The AC unit itself looks very nice and is situated on a new pad on some fresh, white gravel. Normally I hate getting stuff on the house worked on, but Mission PHC made it extremely straightforward – no “mind games” so to speak. I would highly recommend Mission PHC to anyone living in the Kansas City metropolitan area based off of this experience. [2025] Needed a tune-up and service... amazing service... nicest and most professional expert came out... on time... gave us a good deal compared to other companies in the area.... honestly made me like this company even more.

You can’t risk important plumbing repairs to just anyone. I had 3 plumbers before, fix and/or assess my sump pump issue, and none of them found the root of the problem until James with MPHC came.
